Reinstalling Photo Effects
If you are having trouble using any of our Photo Effects apps, this page should help you. Oftentimes, there are issues beyond our control that will cause a user to have problems running one of our apps. The most common problem is the iTunes app update process. On rare occasion, iTunes does not update all of the resources it should during the update process. Symptoms of this are:
1) The app will crash
2) Objects can not be moved once they been placed on your photos
Please realize we are not the only developer having this problem with iTunes updates. We continue to work with Apple for a resolution.
If this has happened to you, the only option is to force iTunes to do a complete install of our app.
Here are the steps to get iTunes to do a clean install of our apps:
1. Delete the app from your device
You do this by clicking and holding your finger down until the delete X shows up. Go ahead and click the delete button. This will remove the app from your device but will not delete your app from iTunes.
2. Plug your device into your computer
3. Open iTunes
4. Select your device from the left side bar
5. Click the Apps tab
6. Find the app in the list you just deleted from your device
iTunes should have detected that you’ve deleted the app from your device and it will no longer have the box checked.
7. Check the box so iTunes knows to install the app on your device
8. Sync your device with iTunes
This process has been known to fix all known issues with an improperly running Photo Effects app.
